Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Management:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, and services.
- Ensure timely procurement to support smooth production and operational activities.
- Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supplier performance to optimize procurement decisions.
Vendor Management & Negotiations:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers.
- Conduct vendor audits and quality assessments to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to achieve cost savings.
Inventory & Cost Control:
- Work closely with the stores, finance, and production teams to optimize inventory levels.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and efficiency.
- Monitor purchase budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and contracts for audit purposes.
- Work with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate with production, R&D, quality control, and logistics teams to align procurement with business needs.
- Support new product development (NPD) initiatives by sourcing required materials and equipment.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions and mitigate risks in procurement operations.

Key Qualifications
|
Education:
- B.E. / B.Tech / MBA in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related fields.
Experience:
- 10+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or agrochemical industry.
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and procurement best practices.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
- Experience with SAP ERP or other procurement software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage supplier relationships and internal teams.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and industry trends.
