Tagmycin is recommended for selective control of bacterial disease in plants. Tagmycin is very effective when applied after the crop is infected and hence has good curative action against bacterial infection in plants. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic bactericide formulation containing streptomycin sulphate and tetracycline hydrochloride in 90:10 ratio which is recommended for control of bacterial diseases in plant system. The addition of tetracycline has synergistic and thus increases the effectiveness or streptocycline. It is easily translocated in the plant system and kills pathogens quickly and helps in increasing yields. At recommended doses, it is no harmful effect noticed.
