Roles &  Responsibilities

Production Management:

  • Supervise daily manufacturing operations of biological products, ensuring timely production as per the schedule.
  • Monitor and control process parameters to ensure consistency in product quality.
  • Oversee fermentation, formulation, blending, and packaging of biological products.
  • Ensure effective utilization of manpower, raw materials, and machinery.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all production equipment is functioning optimally.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and ensure compliance with product specifications and safety norms.
  • Maintain batch production records, process control sheets, and other documentation.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process deviations and quality issues.

Safety & Environment Compliance:

  • Ensure strict compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies during production activities.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, training, and awareness programs for production staff.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of biological waste and hazardous materials.

Team Management & Coordination:

  • Supervise, train, and guide production workers and operators to enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinate with QC, R&D, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of production processes through innovative solutions.

Key Qualifications

Education:

  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Diploma / B.Tech in Industrial Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in biological production, fermentation processes, or bio-based agrochemicals manufacturing.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of biological fermentation, microbial culture handling, and bioprocessing techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with production equipment used in biological formulation.
  • Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and industrial safety regulations.
  • Good leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP or ERP-based production management is a plus.
